AI does a great job at reading complex documents and extracting salient information. This prompt was made for finance professionals to use to pull out the most important information from a document, or many documents, into a single table to make the review of documents significantly faster.
How Can I Modify This Prompt?
You may not care about the same information that this prompt calls out, like builder basket details or lien provisions. Modify this prompt for your industry, or just the kind of document you’re working with, by changing the list of key terms to ones you care about. If you have a document that already lists these key terms and you don’t want to type them out again, simply remove the list of key terms at the bottom of the prompt, attach the document with your list, and add “For the key terms, please use the list attached” to the prompt.
For the attached document, create a table summarizing the key terms as they are relevant to the BORROWER. Before you begin the table, be sure to state who the Borrower is and who the other party is.
The table should contain the following columns:
1. Key term
2. Definition of the key term EXACTLY as it is defined within the attached document.
3. A brief summary of that definition, extracting just the most important statistic, number, or detail -- DO NOT FORGET THIS!
4. Relevance of that key term from the borrower's perspective, no more than one sentence
5. Additional, brief commentary you think is relevant, especially regarding actions the reviewer of the document may need to take or be aware of.
For the key terms, please use AT LEAST the following (if the key term does not exist in the document, still include the key term as a row, and detail that the key term doesn't exist in the relevant columns). You MUST include every key term listed here and every column listed above.
