Group your tasks into two categories. First, the part you wake up dreading - the tedious, monotonous, or frustrating work. Almost certainly, this category of work is linked to the software or processes you use: Comb through expense reports, run a redline, compile the same report from dozens of documents... Now think about the work you love to do. Almost certainly, this work leverages your unique skillset and engages your mind. You might feel that this is what you are born to do. Software should take care of the first category and liberate you to do the second. So why does it feel like software just makes the grunt work worse?
