Deleting PDF pages helps you remove outdated information from documents, like confidential information or updated contract pages.

Since deleting pages is both crucial and common when manipulating documents, in this article, I talk about the 3 methods to use when deleting pages from PDFs.

How to delete PDF pages with Macro

Suppose you own a real estate agency. Agents frequently share property portfolios as PDFs with potential buyers.

A client wants you to compile a property portfolio for him. Before you do, you must remove a section with financial forecasts for internal use only.

Let’s look at some free and paid options you can leverage to delete pages from PDFs.

Step 1. Open PDF with Macro

Once you’ve installed and opened Macro on your device, click ‘Open a PDF or DOCX file’ from the app's home screen.

Select the PDF you want to delete pages from and click ‘Open.’ Alternatively, select the file and press ‘return’ on your keyboard.

This is what your PDF will look like in Macro 👇

Let's take a look at the items present on the screen. In the top-left corner, we have the following tools:

  • Bookmark: View all Bookmarks
  • Comments: Centralized overview of highlights, comments, and pins
  • Pages: Organize, delete, and merge pages
  • Editor: Edit PDF documents (tools to add text, shapes, images, or redact PDF information)
  • Error Detector: AI-powered document error detection tool

On the top-right, you can find options to Print or Save modified PDFs.

Step 2. Expand PDF pages in Organizer

Click the Pages icon from the top-right menu bar to open the Organizer. Alternatively, press Command + 4 to open the section automatically.

Then click the ‘Organize, Export and Merge’ button.

Macro expands and arranges PDF pages in a grid format, showing you page thumbnails (like the image below).

Step 3. Select the pages you want to delete

Select the pages you want to delete from the PDF file.

For instance, I want to delete pages 3, 5, and 6. Doing it manually would require me to repeat the process individually for every page. But not with Macro!

To select multiple pages at once, click on any page thumbnail (3, 5, or 6), then long-press Command and click on other pages.

If the pages are continuous, one after another, select the first or last page in the range and press Shift + left-click .

Step 4. Delete pages

Click ‘Option’ (three vertical dots) from the top-right corner.

From the dropdown, click ‘Delete.’

Once it’s deleted, you can see your modified PDF with pages removed in the organizer. Click ‘Done’ to save modifications.

That’s how you delete PDF pages with Macro. However, there are other tools available to delete PDF pages.

Below, I have listed the best free and paid PDF tools.
